Working alongside neighbors, attorneys, city officials, and other community partners, Act helps make neighborhood safety a normal reality for everyone. We serve the Dallas/Fort Worth area and operate as a 501(c)(3) with a dedicated team of over 20 staff and an annual budget exceeding $4 million.
Position Summary
The Attorney is responsible for managing a civil litigation caseload in Fort Worth, including case evaluation and strategy, guiding volunteer attorneys from leading law firms, and collaborating closely with Act’s program staff, clients, and community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate potential cases and set legal strategy in collaboration with Act’s program staff.
- Advance cases through Act’s legal model.
- Guide volunteer attorneys from Act’s partner law firms and serve as co-counsel.
- Collaborate with partner city stakeholders including the Fort Worth Police Department, City Attorney’s Office, and Code Compliance.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with law firms and volunteer attorneys who serve as Act’s volunteer base.
