Role Description Title Agent's will be responsible for conducting title research, analyzing chains of title, and preparing ownership reports for oil and gas and related surface interests. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing courthouse and online title searches, reviewing legal descriptions and historical records, and identifying defects or curative requirements. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, closing agents, and external stakeholders to support closings, escrow arrangements, leasing, and related land transactions. The Landman-Title Agent will also maintain accurate project documentation, provide responsive customer service to clients, and adhere to company and regulatory standards. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Nacogdoches, TX, with a portion of work permitted from home.
Qualifications
- Strong title research capabilities, including experience with Title Searches and analyzing Chain of Title for surface and mineral interests.
- Commitment to high-quality Service, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with land, real estate, or oil and gas documentation, including deeds, leases, easements, and legal descriptions.
- Proficiency with digital research tools, land databases, and standard office software; ability to adapt to new technology platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, including in-office, Courthouses in East Texas, and remote work from home.
