Key Exploration, headquartered in Longview, TX, is a 3rd generation oil and gas exploration and production company. Our areas of operation are mainly in East Texas, but also have operations in North Louisiana and Wyoming. We are a small family office looking for some young and hungry individuals to be part of the team and help build for the future.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Landman role located in Longview, TX. The Landman will be responsible for negotiating and drafting land acquisition contracts, analyzing property title records and land ownership rights, researching mineral and leasehold ownership, and ensuring regulatory compliance in leasing activities. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with mineral owners, landowners, stakeholders, and team members to support energy exploration and operations effectively.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, land acquisition, and lease agreements
- Expertise in title research, property ownership analysis, and land records management
- Understanding of compliance with local, state, and federal regulations applicable to land management
- Proficiency with tools and software used in land and title management
- Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data and generate accurate reports
- Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Land/Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in the energy or oil and gas industry is highly preferred
