Role Summary
The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations by preparing, labeling, and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and coordinating shipments all under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescriptions, including sterile and unit-dose medications
- Maintain accurate patient records, inventory, and shipment documentation
- Coordinate with intake, billing, and pharmacy teams to ensure timely delivery
- Follow HIPAA and all federal, state, and pharmacy regulations
- Support quality assurance and maintain a clean, organized pharmacy workspace
- High school diploma or GED
- Active Nevada Pharmacy Technician license
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience (retail, hospital, or specialty)
- Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Pharmacy technician program graduate
- PTCB certification
- Experience with CareTend
