Monday Through Friday From 8:30am Eastern Standard Time To 5pm Eastern Standard Time
Location:
BioMatrix Specialty Infusion Pharmacy is seeking a Full-Time Infusion Nurse to see patients in their homes or infusion suites. It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work in one of the metropolitan-area locations noted in the posting. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
On-Call
Participation in the on-call rotation is a requirement of this position. It is anticipated that an incumbent in the position would be on-call approx. once every eight (8) weeks for two (2) weekdays per month and one (1) weekend.
Job Description
A Registered Nurse for Home Infusion inserts, monitors and removes an IV used to give medications, blood products and nutrition to a patient. During the IV therapy, the nurse monitors the patient for adverse reactions and ensures that the tubing, bandages and needle stay in place. When a patient needs blood levels checked, an IV nurse performs a veinous phlebotomy. During the entire IV therapy process, the nurse obtains sets of vital signs, completes the physical assessment and review of systems, documents all patient-related activities and records the medications they use.
