National Home Healthcare Inc. is currently urgently hiring PCA (Personal Care Assistant) workers in the Woodbury, Newport and Cottage Grove Area.

Location:
National Home Healthcare’s main office is based out of Oakdale, MN, but the positions are available throughout the Twin Cities Area.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred (but not required).
PCA Certificate is necessary (if you don’t have one, assistance is available).
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for transportation.
At least 1 year of homecare experience preferred.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Fluent in English.
Ability to lift, turn, position, and transfer up to 50 lbs.
Ability to recognize and report changes in a client’s condition.
Must be neat and clean in appearance.
Negative TB screening results (within the last 12 months).
Job Description - What Does a PCA Do?
As a PCA, you will assist clients with both activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), which may include:
ADLs (Personal Care Tasks):
Dressing: Helping with choosing and applying clothes, assisting with transfers and mobility.
Grooming: Hair, oral care, nail care, shaving, and applying cosmetics.
Bathing: Assistance with starting/finishing a bath or shower, skin care.
Eating: Helping with meal preparation, feeding, and positioning for meals.
Transfers: Moving clients from one position to another.
Mobility: Assisting with walking, use of a wheelchair.
Toileting: Assisting with bowel and bladder care, feminine hygiene.
Health-Related Procedures & Tasks:
Passive/active range of motion exercises.
Assistance with prosthetics and orthotics.
Cleaning medical equipment.
Monitoring and supporting clients with conditions like seizure disorders.
IADLs (Household & Support Tasks):
Meals: Meal prep, set-up, clean-up.
Light Housekeeping: Sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming.
Laundry: Washing, folding, and putting away clothes.
Shopping: For food, clothing, and other essentials.
Transportation: Driving or accompanying clients to appointments or running errands.
Compensation:
Pay is between $16 - $19 per hour, depending on experience and client location.
