POSITION SUMMARY
The Finance Analyst – Treasury & Cash Management is responsible for supporting the company’s liquidity management, cash flow monitoring, and daily financial operations. This role ensures the accurate execution of financial transfers, integrity of bank reconciliations, and visibility of short- and medium-term cash positions.
The position plays a key role in maintaining a strong financial control environment by processing cash movements between operating accounts, custodial accounts, as well as processing the payments of commissions, claims, surrenders and other counterparties, while providing cashflow projections and ensuring adherence to internal approval processes and controls.
In the start-up phase of the Life & Investment Division, the Finance Analyst is critical in establishing cash management processes, forecasting frameworks, and reconciliation controls to support the September 2026 launch and ensure operational and financial discipline from day one.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Cash Flow Monitoring & Liquidity Management
- Monitor and control daily cash positions across all bank accounts and custodial accounts.
- Ensure accurate visibility of available liquidity to support operational needs, commissions and expenses payments and investment flows.
- Track inflows and outflows related to premiums, investments, redemptions, and operating expenses.
- Cash Flow Forecasting
- Prepare short-term and medium-term cash flow projections to support liquidity planning, capital allocation, and funding decisions.
- Coordinate with Finance, Operations, and Investment teams to ensure alignment between projected and actual cash movements.
- Identify potential liquidity gaps or excess positions and escalate as appropriate.
- Payment Execution & Financial Transfers
- Execute financial transfers and payments in accordance with approved instructions, internal controls, and authorization workflows.
- Ensure accounts are properly funded before the payments are executed.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all payment activities.
- Bank Reconciliation & Control
- Perform daily and periodic bank reconciliations across all accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring timely identification and correction of variances.
- Maintain reconciliation documentation in accordance with internal control and audit requirements.
- Financial Control & Reporting Support
- Support the Finance team with accurate data for accounting entries related to cash movements and bank activity.
- Provide monthly Cashflow reports with analysis commentaries to the management.
- Assist in maintaining internal control procedures related to treasury operations.
- Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement of cash management workflows.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
- Cash Visibility Accuracy: Accuracy and timeliness of daily cash position reporting.
- Forecast Accuracy: Variance between projected and actual cash flows.
- Payment Execution Quality: Timeliness and accuracy of financial transfers.
- Reconciliation Timeliness & Accuracy: Completion of reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies.
- Control Compliance: Adherence to approval workflows and internal control procedures.
- Operational Efficiency: Effectiveness of treasury processes and reduction of manual errors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in treasury, cash management, finance operations, or banking-related roles.
- Strong understanding of cash flow management, banking operations, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience using banking platforms and payment execution systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with financial systems or ERP tools is a plus.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and control-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate across internal teams.
