Qualifications:
Specialized Experience Statement: Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-06 level in the Federal service or private sector includes; documented experience and proven success in front line fundraising and the ability to prepare high level foundation grant proposals, cultivate and manage a portfolio of foundation grants and prospects, working across departments to achieve fundraising goals for a large complex art museum.

Responsibilities:
The Development Office at the National Gallery of Art is responsible for securing private financial support to sustain and expand the Gallery’s exhibitions, educational initiatives, conservation efforts, and other programs that advance the National Gallery of Art’s mission.
This annoucement is hiring for positions, in the Institutional Giving (foundations and corporations) section and the Individual Giving (principal and major gifts) section.
Duties for this position include;

Assist in raising philanthropic funds to support exhibitions, sponsorships, educational programs, and other National Gallery fundraising priorities.

Provide centralized project management support to the development department by coordinating fundraising efforts for exhibition support.
Salary : $57,736
