HUMAN RESOURCE ADMINISTRATOR

Summary

Human Resources Administrator (HRA) will support NFWF’s vision, mission and goals by providing support for all aspects of the Human Resources function. This position works under the supervision of the Vice President, Human Resources and works closely with the Senior Manager, HRIS. The HRA is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resources operations, record keeping, file maintenance and administration of certain HR benefit programs. The work involved includes performing various tasks requiring a substantive understanding of general and internal human resource policies, procedures and laws. The HRA must display strong interpersonal skills and be able to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality at all times. The HRA deals with internal contacts at all levels of the organization and the HRA will continually demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining confidential personnel files, medical files, processing personnel actions and maintaining I-9 binder.
  • Assists in recruitment process including developing a robust posting pipeline, placement of ads, receipt and review of resumes, scheduling of interviews, administration of pre-employment testing, completion of offer letters, and facilitation of reference and background check process. Will also generate rejection notifications and maintain shared application files.
  • Act as primary HR lead for recruiting of Grants Administrators and Coordinators.
  • Assist with overseeing Intern Program including recruitment, scheduling and attending on and off-site events, supervising and/or mentoring intern(s), and other ad hoc duties.
  • Assists in new employee orientation by creating new hire packets, scheduling departmental orientation meetings, collecting and distributing New Hire Presentation information to all staff.
  • Responsible for updating NFWF’s Portal, Staffing Calendar and organizational chart with employee updates including new hires, promotions, departures, supervisor and/or department changes, etc. Prepare associated jira notifications and letters.
  • Assists with annual open enrollment period.
  • Responsible for coordinating NFWF’s Tuition Reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment and Professional Development benefit programs.
  • Responsible for coordinating monthly NFWF employee anniversary celebration.
  • Processes and reconciles monthly invoices from vendors and providers. Reviews billings for accuracy and advances for payment in a timely manner. Completes reports for management as requested.
  • Provide administrative support to Vice President of Human Resources.

Secondary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

Minimum Qualifications (education, Experience, Skills)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience and at least one year experience in multiple Human Resource functions.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline.
  • Very strong attention to detail and ability to edit and proofread.
  • Creative outlook with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
  • Able to respond quickly and accurately to requests for information, ability to provide excellent customer service a must.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and simultaneously.
  • Flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets and payroll, ADP preferred.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a team.

Compensation

$36.06 Hourly Rate (Starting range based on experience)

Note: Compensation is negotiable and may be higher depending on the candidate's skills and experience.
