Job Title: Freight Payables Clerk

Location: Lakeland, FL

Pay: $18.00-$22.00/hour, depending on experience

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Duration: Temporary to Possible Hire

Job Description

• Process carrier invoices and issue payments accurately and on time
• Review and verify load documents (BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations)
• Enter and reconcile billing/payment data in internal systems
• Audit charges, including accessories (detention, lumper, FSC)
• Match paperwork to loads and submit for broker approval
• Follow up with carriers for missing documents or discrepancies
• Communicate with brokers and internal teams to resolve issues
  
  

Job Requirements

• High school diploma required
• 2 years of freight payables or brokerage experience required
• Strong understanding of carrier payments and load documentation
• High attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume work
• Proficient with Excel and transportation/accounting systems (TMS preferred)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Prior transportation experience require
