Independent Contractor / Owner Operator Opportunity

We are looking for experienced Owner Operators with established 2-man delivery teams to provide residential mattress, bedding, and adjustable base delivery and installation services.

This opportunity is for professional delivery teams with experience in final-mile home delivery, mattress handling, bedroom setup, and adjustable base installation.

Requirements

Applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements:

· Own and operate a 26-foot box truck with a liftgate

· Have an active DOT and MC Authority

· Be able to meet all required commercial auto, cargo, and general liability insurance requirements

· Have previous mattress / bedding home delivery experience

· Have proven experience installing and setting up adjustable bed bases

· Operate as a 2-man delivery team at all times

· Both team members must be able to pass a background check

· Both team members must be able to pass a drug screening

· Have your own tools and equipment required for delivery and installation

· Be physically capable of safely handling mattresses, foundations, bed frames, and adjustable bases

· Maintain a clean, professional truck and appearance

· Provide excellent customer service inside customers' homes

· Have a smartphone capable of using routing, delivery, and proof-of-delivery applications

Responsibilities

· Complete scheduled residential mattress and bedding deliveries

· Load, unload, and safely transport mattresses, foundations, frames, and adjustable bases

· Deliver products into the customer's home and requested room

· Remove and replace bedding products as required by the delivery scope

· Assemble and install adjustable bed bases

· Connect adjustable bases to power and verify proper operation

· Pair remotes and confirm basic adjustable base functionality when required

· Assemble basic bed frames and bedding components

· Protect customers' floors, walls, doorways, and merchandise during delivery

· Remove packaging and delivery debris when required

· Complete signatures, photos, serial-number capture, and proof of delivery through delivery technology

· Immediately report damages, shortages, delivery exceptions, or installation issues

· Maintain professional communication with customers and dispatch

Experience We're Looking For

This is not an entry-level delivery position.

Ideal contractors have previous experience with:

· Mattress home delivery

· Bedding delivery

· Adjustable base installation

· Bed frame assembly

· White-glove residential delivery

· Room-of-choice delivery

· Furniture or large-item final-mile delivery

· Customer-facing in-home services

Experience installing adjustable bases is required. Teams should understand how to safely handle heavy adjustable bases, complete proper setup, connect components, pair remotes, and verify that the unit is functioning correctly before leaving the customer's home.

Equipment Required

26' Box Truck with Liftgate – REQUIRED

Owner Operators are responsible for providing their own:

· Truck

· Fuel

· Qualified helper / second team member

· Tools

· Dollies and hand trucks

· Mattress handling equipment

· Moving blankets

· Straps and securing equipment

· Basic installation tools

· Personal protective equipment

· Insurance

· Operating authority

Contractor Requirements

This is an Independent Contractor / Owner Operator opportunity. Contractors are responsible for maintaining their own business, equipment, operating authority, insurance, personnel, taxes, and other business-related expenses.

Active DOT/MC Authority, qualifying insurance, mattress delivery experience, and adjustable base installation experience are required before onboarding.
