National Delivery System is seeking an experienced Terminal Manager to manage the day-to-day LTL delivery operations that services Maryland, Virginia, DC and other surrounding areas.

Job Description
- Manage a driver fleet of 15 drivers
- Manage an Office Staff of 6 employees
- Manage a Warehouse of 10 workers
- Identify problems and resolutions and acts on them
- Conduct continuous analysis & direction of driver assignments
- Strong knowledge of dispatch, warehouse, and distribution operations
- Oversee a multiple shift operation
- Strong working knowledge of all FDOT related rules
- Experience in a delivery operation that utilizes handheld scanners for all inbound, outbound and delivery processes
- Managing location’s accounts payable, equipment lease programs, and schedule maintenance/repairs
- This position requires excellent computer skills, a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, good communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, and be very well organized
- Resolves routing issues, responsible for location’s delivery of freight, cancellation resolutions, driver scheduling and monitoring of drivers’ performance
- Provides performance feedback to Direct Manager
- P&L accountability
- Regular attendance is required with ability to adjust shift on minimal notice
- Operation is 24 hours so around the clock availability is a must.
Qualifications
- 5 Years Management in LTL/Retail Distribution
- Knowledge of all FDOT Regulations and rules
- Highly Motivated
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office specifically Word & Excel
- TMW Software experience (preferred)
- LTL experience with analysis of freight movement, logistics, handling, coordination & scheduling preferred
- Customer Service oriented
- Must be self-motivated, having strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of the geographic Region
- Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
- Must be able to interact well with others
- Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities
