DESCRIPTION
The Events Associate assists in ensuring rental events are executed successfully. Reporting to the Sales Coordinator at NCM Motorsports Park, this position provides hands-on support to maintain rental event run-of-show.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with coordinating logistics of facility rental events including timelines, schedules, and event set-up and clean-up.
- Actively engage customers to establish event details and customer needs.
- Provide thorough event summaries to allow accurate billing and customer follow-up.
- Support the execution of overall event experiences.
- Maintain and update rental calendar through the use of third-party software.
- Detail events through the use of third-party software.
- Provide hands-on support at events, serving as a friendly point of contact for guests.
- Provide audio-visual support to customers using our equipment.
- Work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays for events as required.
- Responsibilities are not all-inclusive, additional duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior work experience in events preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of general security practices and emergency procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and promptly.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- An understanding of CRM lead management systems and data capturing is preferred.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Google Docs.
- Strong multitasking ability, handling multiple tasks and a high volume of work within deadlines.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit at a desk for one or more hours at a time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions and temperatures.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must have sufficient mobility to regularly stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the MSP.
