About the Role
The position of Appraisal Review Analyst is to provide critical support to the Appraisal Department's Chief Appraiser in managing appraisal assignments, reviews, appraiser ratings, and special projects. This role ensures the separation of responsibilities between departments and facilitates the analysis and review of commercial real estate appraisal reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Appraisal Analysis and Review
- Analyze appraisal reports for compliance with FIRREA, USPAP, and NCB requirements, ensuring accuracy and a deep understanding of appraisal methodology.
- Contact appraisers for clarity on adjustments or appraisal methods, as needed, to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of real estate market trends, FIRREA, and USPAP requirements to prevent appraisal violations.
- Understand and apply loan product underwriting guidelines and internal policies.
- Create and edit FNMA DUS files as required.
- Appraisal Ordering and Tracking
- Order appraisals and reviews upon request, confirming acceptance and ensuring timely delivery of property data.
- Track deliveries, store reports, and communicate with users to resolve issues.
- Appraiser Tracking and Monitoring
- Input appraiser scoring data into Excel tools and analyze monthly/quarterly performance.
- Collect data for new appraiser approvals and review with the Chief Appraiser.
- Invoicing
- Process invoices from appraisers and reviewers with Accounts Payable.
- Resolve payment questions and issues with vendors.
- Special Projects
- Assist the Chief Appraiser with periodic special reports and analyses, including semi-annual market reports.
