Role Description The Flooring Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Nashville, TN. This position is responsible for reviewing project plans, specifications, and site conditions to prepare accurate flooring estimates for multifamily, single-family rental, fix-and-flip, and new construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include performing quantity take-offs, calculating material and labor requirements, and developing detailed proposals and budgets in coordination with sales and project management teams. The role involves communicating with internal teams, vendors, and clients to clarify project scope, pricing, and timelines, as well as updating estimates based on changes in design or site conditions. The Flooring Estimator also assists in cost tracking, value engineering, and supporting project handoff to installation teams to ensure successful execution.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Construction Estimating skills, with experience interpreting plans, specifications, and scope documents.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Quantity Take-offs, including measuring flooring areas and calculating material, waste factors, and labor needs.
- Candidates should possess solid Cost Management and Budgeting abilities to develop competitive, accurate bids and support project profitability.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and clients, and for documenting estimates clearly.
- Prior experience in flooring, construction, or property management environments is highly beneficial.
