What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Services Clerk position at National Center for Urban Solutions?
The Support Service Clerk will play a crucial role in providing administrative assistance to various departments within the school, including the Enrollment Coordinator, School Director, and Director of School Counseling. The primary focus of this position is to facilitate the enrollment process and offer support for other administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk Duties: Assist the School Director with clerical tasks such as answering phones in a friendly manner, providing a presentable and welcoming presence for all stakeholders as they enter/exit the building, helping with lunch distribution, gathering attendance information, and?submitting?data into Quick Base.
- Enrollment Support: Assist with creating scholars' permanent files, requesting and processing transcripts, and handling enrollment forms.
- School Counseling Support: Aid the Director of School Counseling by inputting transcripts, updating graduation planners, assisting with testing, and inputting data into EMIS and/or Quick Base.
- Communications: Conduct phone calls and?mail out?letters to families and scholars to gather necessary documentation for enrollment.
- Provide building support where needed.
- Ability to provide and show proof of insurance and license. Have reliable transportation.
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in technology and software such as excel/word/outlook/QuickBase.
- Data Entry: Ability to input data into specific software, including Quick Base and other school-used software.
- Flexibility and Productivity: Must be able to pivot between tasks without losing productivity. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with all stakeholders, including families and colleagues, is crucial.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities and proper time management are required.
Education: At least a high school diploma.
Experience: Some experience with clerical office duties is preferred.
