Job Description
This position is responsible for the management of the Housing process for NCBA events including the Cattle Industry Convention, Summer Business Meeting and other NCBA meetings as needed. Additionally, this position serves as an active member of a team responsible for the planning, coordination and management of the Cattle Industry Convention, Summer Business Meeting and other NCBA Meetings. This position functions as a key member of a team responsible for the coordination, setup and management of the NCBA housing and registration systems, practices and procedures as well as multiple events and meetings that take place during the convention. Additionally, this position manages several small meetings throughout the year.

Housing Management
- Assist with developing and overseeing NCBA’s housing strategy for conventions, meetings, and special events.
- Manage hotel room blocks, contracts, and reservations to optimize availability and minimize attrition risks.
- Serves as a liaison with hotels and housing bureaus to negotiate competitive rates and terms.
- Monitor housing trends, reports, and attendee requirements to adjust allocations as necessary.
- Assist as needed with necessary logistical aspects of NCBA events, including transportation, lodging, and vendor partnerships.
- Back up Registration Manager
- .In Conjunction With (ICW) Management for Annual Convention
- Implement tactics that will enhance internal coordination and support of primarily, but not limited to, NCBA small meetings..
- Assist with the development logistics plans and timelines to ensure smooth event execution.
- Work closely with the other members of the team to align housing and logistics with overall event objectives.
- Ensure accessibility and customer service standards are met for all attendees.
- Some travel is required and may be extensive at times, including weekends (sometimes early/late hours)
- Weight Lifted/Force Exerted: Up to 50 pounds: Up to 1/3 of time
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Establish and maintain relationships with hotel chains, convention centers, and travel providers.
- Work with third-party housing vendors to implement and manage reservation systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams, sponsors, and exhibitors to address specific housing and travel needs.
- Resolve housing-related issues or disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with the development and management of budgets for housing and logistics-related expenses.
- Track and regularly report on key performance indicators, including housing pick-up rates, attrition, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and cost savings while maintaining a high-quality attendee experience.

- EDUCATION – Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, business administration, or a related field.
- EXPERIENCE – Minimum 4-6 years in hotel operations, housing management, event logistics, or convention planning.

- SKILLS- Background in hotel negotiations, contract management, and vendor relations. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Proficiency in event management software and housing systems. Knowledge of the cattle or agricultural industry is a plus but not required.
