Dispatcher AM (Hides)

Location: Liberal, Kansas
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with every other Saturday

Position Summary

National Carriers, Inc. is seeking a dependable and highly organized AM Dispatcher to support our Hides operation in Liberal, Kansas. This position is responsible for coordinating daily driver activity, communicating load information, monitoring schedules, and helping ensure freight is transported safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who can manage multiple priorities, solve problems quickly, and maintain positive working relationships with drivers, customers, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch drivers according to scheduled loads and operational needs
• Communicate load assignments, pickup information, delivery requirements, and schedule changes
• Monitor drivers and loads throughout the day to help ensure timely service
• Maintain regular communication with drivers regarding delays, equipment concerns, and other issues
• Work closely with customers, operations personnel, and other departments to resolve service-related concerns
• Update dispatch systems and maintain accurate load and driver information
• Assist with route planning and adjustments when operational challenges arise
• Document delays, service issues, and other relevant information
• Support driver safety and compliance with company policies and transportation regulations
• Provide professional and timely customer service
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Previous dispatching, transportation, logistics, or customer service experience is preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Comfortable working with computers, dispatch software, email, and Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to remain professional and composed when handling time-sensitive situations
• Dependable attendance and the ability to work every other Saturday
• High school diploma or equivalent required
