- Prepare, review, and send invoices using various accounting software such as EVV, KYMMIS or Workday to ensure prompt billing cycles.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable to maintain accurate financial records and support cash flow management.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify the accuracy of financial data across ledgers.
- Assist with general ledger accounting tasks including journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and month-end closing procedures.
- Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain detailed documentation of billing transactions, adjustments, and related correspondence for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on governmental or non-profit accounting projects requiring specialized financial concepts or tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Experience with payroll systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos or UltiPro is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and government or non-profit accounting standards.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy in 10 key typing and double entry bookkeeping tasks.
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis efficiently.
- Strong understanding of financial services operations related to accounts receivable/payable and tax processes.
- Analytical mindset with a solid grasp of budgeting, credit analysis, and financial acumen.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments on technical accounting matters.
