POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform facilities maintenance work, as directed, and assist in helping others in maintenance department project work and preventative maintenance tasks.
Shift timings are 10.00 PM- 6.30 AM
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform repairs to building and fixed facility equipment. Remove and
- replace broken equipment. Perform plumbing and electrical repairs as
- required. Replace ballasts, light fixtures, and bulbs. Paint facilities as needed.
- Keep inventory of maintenance supplies and materials required for facilities maintenance. Ensure proper inventory levels of repair parts so
- repairs can be made in a timely manner.
- Purchase repair parts; process paperwork.
- Ability to work overtime, evenings, and occasional weekends due to project assignments.
- Attending scheduled training and departmental meetings.
- Operate company or personal vehicle as needed.
- Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and a minimum
- of three years of related experience in facilities maintenance and
- operations, or an equivalent combination of education and work
- experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Good verbal and written skills to articulate details and communicate effectively
- across departments. Ability to respond to calls and emergencies after hours.
- Proficiency with MS Office/Google Docs required.
- Technical education and/or hands-on experience in the following are a plus:
- HVAC maintenance and operation, electrical power distribution, process water
- (RO/DI) and compressed air systems (CDA).
- Understanding of maintenance function and ability to perform maintenance-
- related tasks. Should have basic working knowledge of facilities tools.
