Nassau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled and dependable Director of Maintenance to lead and oversee all facility maintenance operations. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and oversee routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and facility structures
Conduct regular inspections to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve maintenance issues
Respond promptly to maintenance requests across departments, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions
Fabricate or modify parts as needed to support repairs and maintenance
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
Supervise maintenance operations and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas upon completion of tasks
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a healthcare or facility setting
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks from start to finish
Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with leadership
