What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Manager position at Nassau Candy?
Nassau Candy is a leading manufacturer, importer and distributor of candy, specialty confections, fine foods, and promotional products.
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our distribution team in the Richardson, Texas location. The ideal person for this key management role will have proven supervisory and leadership skills and will be responsible for overseeing warehouse associates and drivers.
The Warehouse Manager will exhibit excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and will manage inbound and outbound processes including:
• Daily workflow and assignments of the warehouse to ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading of all freight.
• Order packing, paper picks, skid preparation, route management.
• Timely and accurate inventory control.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a Distribution Center with knowledge of distribution operations, material planning systems, and inventory control.
• Management of overall in-house fleet operations including route delivery efficiency and maintenance schedules.
• Experience supervising warehouse associates in a deadline-driven environment
• Well versed in current DOT regulations
• Able to read and comprehend shipping instructions and routing guides
• Computer literacy is necessary (Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, Outlook, WMS).
• Ability and desire to provide leadership, training, and development for direct reports.
• Self-starter and a team player that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
