DESCRIPTION:
The Nassau BOCES Department of Regional Schools and Instructional Programs seeks a .8 Media and Communication Teacher for our CTE program at the Long Island High School for the Arts. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in an extraordinary CTE high school setting.
Long Island High School for the Arts (https://www.longislandhighschoolforthearts.org/) is looking for a teacher to fulfill a .8 teaching position in our Media and Communications department. This individual should be engaging, enthusiastic about working with high school students and willing to get an Emergency COVID-19 CTE Certification. (https://eservices.nysed.gov/teach/certhelp/CertRequirementHelp.do). The candidate should have experience in Media and Communications and extensive knowledge of ProTools.
COURSES TO BE TAUGHT:
Writing for Broadcast, ProTools, Sonic Arts Production Lab, Introduction to the Newsroom, Voiceover, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred otherwise eligible for NYS Transitional A certification in Media Communications
- Minimum of 2 years industry experience in media & communications.
SALARY: As per contract
