Position Overview
The Assistant Manager supports store leadership in driving sales, achieving revenue goals, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role is hands-on, leading daily operations, developing team members, and upholding company policies and standards.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee daily store operations.
- Ensure company policies, programs, and procedures are followed.
- Maintain payroll and ordering budgets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and foster an engaging environment.
- Assist in hiring, training, and developing team members.
- Complete weekly inventory orders and anticipate business needs.
- Actively solve problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Customer Service Expectations
At Nashville Pet Products, we go above and beyond for every customer:
- Greet every customer at the door.
- Provide umbrella service during rain and escort customers to and from their vehicles.
- Carry all purchases from shelf to register and out to the customer’s car.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of management experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays (minimum of two closing shifts per week).
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to bend, push, pull, and perform physical tasks as needed to meet store demands.
