Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Staff Pharmacist role based in Mount Vernon, NY. The Staff Pharmacist will oversee the preparation, verification, and dispensing of medications while providing expert guidance to patients regarding prescriptions and over-the-counter medications. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, managing inventory, supervising pharmacy technicians, and collaborating with healthcare providers. The role also requires active participation in promoting wellness initiatives and maintaining a safe and organized pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Prescription Verification, Medication Dispensing, and Pharmaceutical Calculations
- Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance, Medication Safety, and Drug Interaction Management
- Strong Customer Service, Patient Counseling, and Communication Skills
- Ability to operate pharmacy software systems and manage Inventory Control
- Valid Pharmacist license in the state of New York with immunization privileges
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent qualifications
