What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher position at NAPS | Naval Academy Primary & Secondary?
NAPS is seeking experienced, reliable substitute teachers to join our team of educators. In this position, you will work in the absence of our regular teachers, aiding students in their daily tasks and helping ensure the understanding of the subject matter being covered. You should have some classroom teaching experience, possess the skills needed to cover daily instruction, potentially from PK to 8th grades, and run the classroom environment in an orderly fashion.
The ideal candidate will be aware of the NAPS community, understand our school culture and the importance of military families. We are looking for a person that is flexible, a self-starter, and a great team player with the ability to be creative and high energy to meet primary and secondary student needs. NAPS is an accredited independent school with a warm and loving environment. Preference will be given to those candidates with familiarity and experience within the NAPS community and can speak to the school’s mission and expansion of the school.
NAPS is a preschool through eighth grade, AIMS accredited, independent school.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Training or experience with children
- Formal interview with the administration team at NAPS

Compensation & Benefits:
