Duties
- Lead and supervise retail sales team members, providing training, coaching, and development to enhance performance and customer service skills
- Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactions, returns, and exchanges while ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering procedures
- Implement effective employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding processes to build a strong team
- Conduct regular inventory control checks, stock audits, and purchasing activities to maintain optimal stock levels
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed store targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism using excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
Experience
- Proven management experience in a retail environment with supervisory or assistant manager roles preferred
- Extensive retail sales experience with strong knowledge of retail industry best practices and sales management techniques
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee training & development, and operational management
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, POS systems, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Experience in grocery stores or similar high-volume retail settings is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in merchandising, stocking, and pricing tasks
