Are you a strategic marketing leader who thrives on building brands, driving revenue, and creating measurable business results? We're looking for an experienced Director of Marketing to lead the development and execution of our marketing strategy across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of marketing—from brand strategy and customer acquisition to digital marketing, agency management, and analytics. You'll partner closely with executive leadership to accelerate growth while ensuring a consistent, engaging customer experience across every touchpoint.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's annual marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Establish marketing priorities, KPIs, budgets, and performance reporting.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify growth opportunities and improve business performance.
- Build integrated marketing initiatives across retail, e-commerce, digital, and wholesale channels.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all customer touchpoints.
Digital Marketing & E-Commerce
- Drive strategies that increase online revenue and improve overall e-commerce performance.
- Optimize website conversion, merchandising, and customer experience.
- Lead digital marketing initiatives including: Paid Search, Paid Social, Email Marketing, SMS Marketing, SEO, Affiliate Marketing, Influencer Partnerships
Analyze campaign performance and optimize marketing investments for maximum ROI.
Utilize platforms such as Shopify Plus, Magento (or comparable), Klaviyo, Attentive, GA4, Triple Whale, Northbeam, or similar marketing technologies.
Brand Management
- Lead brand strategy and ensure consistency across all marketing initiatives.
- Oversee campaigns supporting product launches, seasonal promotions, retail initiatives, and new product introductions.
- Protect and strengthen brand identity while increasing customer engagement.
Customer Acquisition & Retention
- Develop strategies to attract new customers and increase customer lifetime value.
- Lead CRM, loyalty, email, and retention marketing programs.
- Analyze customer behavior and purchasing trends to uncover growth opportunities.
Agency & Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with external marketing agencies, creative partners, web developers, photographers, and other vendors.
- Establish budgets, timelines, expectations, and performance metrics.
- Evaluate agency effectiveness and ensure marketing investments deliver measurable business outcomes.
Analytics & Budget Management
- Develop and manage the annual marketing budget.
- Monitor marketing performance, customer acquisition costs, and return on investment.
- Build reporting dashboards and present actionable insights to executive leadership.
- Make data-driven recommendations that improve marketing effectiveness and business performance.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team as the organization grows.
- Foster accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with Retail, Sales, Operations, Product Development, Customer Experience, and Executive Leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- 7 years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership and people management.
- Proven success leading marketing strategy for a consumer brand, retail organization, or e-commerce business.
- Strong experience managing marketing agencies and external partners.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, CRM, customer acquisition, retention strategies, analytics, and e-commerce.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring ROI.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term brand growth with immediate revenue objectives.
Compensation
Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
