She enjoys singing, listening to stories, and winding down with gentle piano music before bedtime. While she may be a bit shy with new people at first, she warms up over time and is both curious and brave. She also enjoys cuddles and being held, thriving on warmth and connection.
Ideal personality (of Nanny): The family is seeking a patient, gentle, kind, and nurturing nanny who genuinely loves working with young children. The ideal candidate is attentive to a toddler's individual needs, remains calm and compassionate during challenging moments, and is confident supporting developmental milestones such as independent sleep, potty training, and language development. As the child grows, they will foster creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning through play, crafts, reading, and age-appropriate educational activities, while prioritizing outdoor play and opportunities to explore nature and socialize with other children.
Requirements: -Must have a clear driving record and own your own vehicle (family will reimburse for mileage used on the job)-Must be up to date on flu and covid vaccine
Responsibilities (of the job):
- Pick up the toddler from daycare on weekdays.
- Prepare healthy snacks and dinner, and assist with mealtime.
- Engage in interactive, age-appropriate play, reading, music, crafts, and developmental activities.
- Support potty training and encourage age-appropriate independence with daily routines.
- Assist with bathing as needed and help maintain a consistent bedtime or naptime routine
- Take the toddler outdoors for walks, playground time, and neighborhood activities when weather permits.
- Keep the child's toys, play areas, and belongings clean and organized.
- Handle child-related household tasks, including washing the child's clothing, dishes, cups, and utensils, tidying play spaces, and helping keep the nursery/bedroom organized.
Important to note: Both parents maintain busy professional schedules and value a calm, organized home environment. They are looking for a nanny who is confident working independently and taking initiative in managing the child's daily routine. The child's grandmother is a frequent and welcome presence in the home, often joining the family for meals and occasionally accompanying the nanny for daycare pick-up.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
