Assistant Manager

Job Overview

The Assistant Restaurant Manager assists the Manager by performing related operational duties. An excellent leader must gain a full understanding of how carry-out and delivery operations work and be able to effectively assist in training and leading a team in the execution of service procedures. This position is responsible for operating as the Manager when the manager is not present and must ensure everything is done according to Nancy’s Pizzeria brand standards.

Duties

• Managing service operations by following policies and standard operating procedures and implementing customer service standards.
• Accept responsibility for the entire service operation.
• Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures and complying with health and legal regulations.
• Meeting financial objectives by keeping track of costs and inventory.
• Ensuring service crew members are trained in proper service procedures and techniques.
• Maintaining an efficient scheduling system to control labor costs and ensure crew members are utilized in the best possible way.
• Ensuring all food is served correctly and in a timely fashion, according to standard procedures, and all customers are satisfied.
• Motivating service crew members to perform in the highest standards..

Requirements

• Restaurant experience: 2-3 years
• Minimum degree required: High school or GED.
• State of Illinois Food Service Sanitation certification, required.
• Skilled in the following areas: leadership, decision making, performance management, crew member coaching, teamwork facilitation, and supervision
• Energetic, communicative and extremely personable
• Organized and efficient
• Quality-oriented and customer-oriented
• Able to work Full Time - days, nights weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
