Job Description
The Field Engineer assists the Project Manager in planning and execution of project plans at site. Field Engineer is responsible for coordination of all technical activities on assigned project. Plans, estimates, schedules, conducts and coordinates assigned engineering work; monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and company standards; ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned project between all disciplines and all other project participants.

Responsibilities
- Manage project engineering schedules and forecasts.
- Coordination and checking engineering deliverables.
- Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects.
- Perform material take offs and labor estimates
- Extensive regular contact with assigned project clients.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals.
- Budget monitoring and trend tracking.
- Participating in client/contractor meetings and resolving client/engineering and management project issues.
- Generates change order, redlines and RFI’s
- Ensure effective engineering and client communications.
- Prepare written estimate narratives and bid clarifications
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities and is a four week on and two weeks off rotation
- Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent or ten (10) years related experience will be considered.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in mechanical and piping systems.
- Minimum five (5) years of related Engineering industry experience.
- Previous experience with fabricating and installing pipelines preferred
- Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.
