Job Description
Working under the guidance of the Director IT, the IT Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Norsk Titanium's IT infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation and optimal performance through the identification, deployment and support of various hardware, software, and networking components.
In a Typical Day, Your Expertise
- Provides technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing IT-related inquiries and issues effectively and courteously
- Provides escalation support to internal and external users and vendors of NTi systems; troubleshoots hardware and software issues, identifies root causes, and implements appropriate solutions in a timely manner
- Maintains accurate documentation of IT infrastructure configurations, installations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures
- Supports the design and implementation of NTi networks, virtualization, storage, data acquisition, and Azure infrastructure
- Plans for and performs upgrades on NTi hardware including firmware and software upgrades to ensure performance and reliability
- Contribute to acquisitions of hardware and software required to support the organization
- Manages and maintains NTi's networks, virtualization, storage, network devices, storage system, data acquisition, and Azure infrastructure to successfully support business needs
- Performs routine maintenance tasks, such as system backups, software and hardware upgrades, to ensure system reliability and security
- Monitors system performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks or performance issues
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and long- and short-term organizational objectives
- Remains apprised of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in IT infrastructure administration and proposes changes in alignment
- Liaisons with external suppliers and providers of IT services and equipment to ensure timely support of organizational needs
- Other duties and responsibilities as required for the successful operation of business
- Adheres to and promotes applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules & Regulations and Security Guidelines

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience within Information Technology sector/role
- Broad intermediate to expert network knowledge (LAN/WAN/WLAN, switching, routing, VPN)
- Azure intermediate to expert networking knowledge
- Broad intermediate to expert virtualization knowledge (ESXi, KVM, QEMU)
- Intermediate to expert shared/distributed storage knowledge
- Broad technical understanding and interests
- Working experience with Microsoft Azure and Office365
- Demonstrated experience successfully supporting IT end-users
- 85,000-96,000 per year Biweekly pay
