Position Overview: Nalu Federal is hiring armed Contract Security Guards to provide continuous protection of personnel, property, equipment, and operations while assigned to the Mat Sinking Unit (MSU). This is not a static post. You'll operate in a maritime/industrial environment with limited accommodations and long-duration operations, maintaining disciplined access control, vigilance, communications, and incident response.

What You'll Do (Shipboard / MSU Specific)

• Maintain 24/7 security presence on MSU quarter boats while deployed; remain alert, professional, and ready to respond.
• Control and monitor access to the vessel, verify authorization, and challenge/report suspicious activity.
• Conduct routine security checks/patrols of assigned vessel areas; report hazards, unsafe conditions, and security concerns immediately.
• Respond to alarms/incidents, document events clearly, and coordinate notifications through the chain of command.
• Operate radios/phones with clear comms discipline; pass and receive concise information in high-noise, high-tempo conditions.
• Comply with onboard safety requirements, including wearing hard hats at all times while working on the MSU.
• Adhere to weapons handling and storage procedures; AA&E storage is only authorized on the MSU when deployed and must follow AR 190-11 procedures coordinated through the COR.

• Ability to thrive in a confined, team-dependent environment with limited staffing and long hours (overtime may be required due to authorized headcount limits).
• Strong judgment, calm decision-making, and clean written reporting.
  
  

Common Requirements

This position requires meeting all contract security personnel qualification standards and conditions of employment (citizenship/age/E-Verify, PAT/medical/IRP, drug testing, weapons qualification, CPR/First Aid, uniform/equipment standards, etc.).
