Pay: $40K - $50K / Year depending on experience and skills (6-month probationary period starting at $40K) with year-end bonus based on evaluation
Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations at our Livonia warehouse facility. This is a working lead role, balancing hands-on warehouse duties with supervising and guiding a team of production workers and forklift operators. The ideal candidate takes ownership, ensures all tasks are completed before leaving each day, and maintains accountability for both warehouse operations and team performance.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Supervise warehouse staff and ensure all employees are working efficiently and meeting performance expectations
- Ensure production workers consistently meet or exceed daily KPI targets
- Oversee and participate in daily shipping and receiving operations
- Verify inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and proper documentation
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and customer service to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform basic cycle counts, and support WMS processes.
- Open and close the warehouse facility daily
- Ensure all required work is completed before leaving each day
- Operate a forklift when needed and ensure proper equipment use.
- Perform miscellaneous warehouse duties such as: Building and moving warehouse racks, Forklift maintenance and inspections, General cleaning, organizing, and upkeep of the warehouse and office areas
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment (5S standards)
- Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day operational issues with minimal supervision
- Report directly to warehouse operations manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations
- Forklift operation skills required (certification preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to enforce accountability and monitor worker performance against KPIs
- Proven ability to hold team members accountable and monitor performance against KPIs
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods
- Proficient with computers, scanners, and shipping systems (Strong Microsoft Office proficiency especially Excel preferred)
- Highly reliable, responsible, and committed to seeing daily tasks through to completion
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (some flexibility may be required)
- Must remain on-site until work is completed each day
- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required depending on operational needs (weekend work compensated)
