NAI Hanson Management LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of NAI James E. Hanson is seeking a Property Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk who is detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to be part of our team of professionals. Individuals must be able to take ownership of several projects simultaneously and adhere to all clients' deadlines.
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and demonstrate interest in taking initiative.
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Yardi Voyager and MRI a plus.
- College graduates a plus.
Tasks will include but will not be limited to the following
:
- Use accounting software for accounts payable & receivable management.
- Record daily cash receipts, wires and ACH's accurately and promptly.
- Deposit checks to banks via scanner.
- Collections – Review tenant ledger and communicate with tenants any outstanding balances.
- Record tenant's billings and adjustments including late fees onto tenant's ledger.
- Generate monthly rent statements and send to tenants monthly.
- Enter invoices into accounting systems including mortgages.
- Process auto EFT/ACH payments as electronic checks.
- Run accounts payable reports for approval.
- Generate checks, obtain appropriate signatures and mail with the matching invoices.
- Upload positive pay into banks.
- Resolve accounts payable discrepancies.
- Bank accounts reconciliations.
- Enter journal entries as required to maintain accurate financial records.
- Process 1096 and 1099 reporting by coordinating with property accountants for timely and accurate tax filings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by property accounting supervisors.
Salary range $63,000-$70,000 - Based on experience.
