ABOUT THE ROLE: 

Play an exciting and multifaceted role as an Account Manager on the sales team. The Account Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining and growing relationships with Congressional Seafood customers. This is a full-time role based on-site in Jessup, MD. 


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop new and nurture existing customer relationships.
  • Perform a high level of customer service, responding to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Understand and communicate information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing customers.
  • Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of food industry product information.
  • Continually gather information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicate to management and others as needed.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals to potential and current customers.
  • Attend and participate in team sales meetings. 
  • Ensure the required customer paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting as required.
  • Attend and participate in industry trade events.


 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of two years of experience in sales or other related experience 
  • High School degree or GED is required
  • Excellent consultative sales skills
  • Knowledge of restaurant back of house workflows
  • Strong computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft 365
  • Understanding of sales and customer service practices
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus
