Financial Composite Data Analyst

In this role, you’ll be responsible for processing monthly dealership financial statement data from automotive and truck dealers across the country to produce NADA’s industry-leading financial composite reports. Your work will directly support NADA’s 20 Group programs and Academy classes, helping dealers benchmark performance and drive business success.

This is a full-time position based in Tysons, VA with a collaborative team culture, competitive salary, and excellent benefits. This role requires an in-office presence to support close collaboration and data processing deadlines. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately collect, review, and process financial statement data from over 400 automotive and truck dealerships each month.
• Create and maintain monthly financial composite reports used by NADA’s 20 Group Consultants, Academy Instructors, and dealership leaders.
• Analyze and edit dealership financial data using NADA’s proprietary composite system, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
• Contact dealerships to resolve data discrepancies and follow up on missing statements.
• Prepare financial composite materials for 20 Group meetings and Academy classes, coordinating closely with NADA’s print center to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data collection and composite reporting.
• Assist with annual updates to financial templates and systems to reflect industry changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to proactively communicate issues or delays, helping ensure seamless operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an analytical, financial, or data processing role. Automotive dealership experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma required; college coursework or relevant professional certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with automotive dealership financial statements is a plus—or a strong willingness to learn.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis functions).
• Experience with data management software or business intelligence tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
