Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting in maintaining all buildings and supporting systems owned by the Hospital. Provides assistance to the electrician, plumber, carpenter and painter as necessary for repairs, installations, construction, etc. May assist in other areas such as the boiler room.
Position Duties (Not all Inclusive)
- Assist in the construction, repair and maintenance of all structures within the Hospital and Hospital owned property including furniture, walls, etc.
- Assist with equipment of various types in installation and repair.
- Lubricate or clean parts as required.
- As necessary, receive stock supplies and verify that proper supplies have been received in the ordered quantity.
- Consistently schedule jobs by prioritizing.
- Promptly perform all errands as assigned.
- Always carry out STAT orders immediately.
- Demonstrate the ability to repair or replace fixtures, chairs or other maintenance requirements.
- Demonstrate knowledge of hand or power tools, precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of painting as it relates to various duties.
- Keep all tools and equipment clean and lubricated and repair all broken tools and equipment.

Qualifications:- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Preferred: Two (2) years of experience in a commercially related maintenance environment.
