The Finance team is responsible for optimizing the Company’s financial assets, mitigating financial risks and reporting the financial position of the company to business stakeholders and the Board of Directors. The department is comprised of three main pillars: Financial Planning & Analysis
(FP&A), Accounting, and Treasury.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in the preparation of business plans, reforecasts, budgets and monthly/quarterly reporting requirements. In partnership with the Accounting team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of financial reports, with comprehensive variance analysis of actual results vs. budget/reforecasts and prior year results. You will also be responsible for the review of P&L accounts on a monthly basis for integrations into budgets and reforecasts and will collaborate with business partners to guide them with managing their respective P&L in the most effective manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATION
SUCCESS OUTCOME #1: Optimize the P&L for Sales and Profitability
o Responsible for all sales reporting (weekly, monthly, annually) and sales planning (budget and forecast), ensuring each time the integrity of the figures
o Responsible for gross margin validation and forecasting
o Drive analysis of item-level demand and sales mix behavior
o Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews for Board of Directors meetings
· SUCCESS OUTCOME #2: Drive Financial Reporting Success
o Closely collaborate, within the Accounting/Finance department and cross-functionally as needed, during closing, budgeting, and reforecasts preparation
o Analysis of specific overhead expenses – explanation of variances between actual results vs. budget/forecast and
· SUCCESS OUTCOME #3: Utilize automated tools to drive reporting
o Be a thought partner to all departments to drive the mantra “know your business” through streamlined, automated reporting tools.
QUALIFICATIONS
o Required-
o Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related business management.
o Minimum of one year of financial analysis experience required.
o Experience with MS Excel.
o Must have strong problem-solving skills.
o Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.
o Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
