The Sales Manager is responsible for building business for the restaurant through direct and indirect sales techniques including all planning & execution components of private and large party dining and community marketing initiatives and performs special projects as delegated by the Director of Operations.
Essential Job Functions:
● Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
● Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
● Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
● Respond to and set up In-House special events, Off-Site catering, buy-outs to ensure we can best show the brand and capture any sales opportunities.
● Creating and executing a dynamic Sales Action plan in collaboration with the Company for pre-opening and opening timelines.
● Identifying market areas and strategic partnerships and opportunities for influencers.
● Developing market strategies and tactics and attend local trade shows.
● Prospect event planning and execution, as well as professional referral-based events during pre-opening periods.
● Responsible for supporting General Managers with negotiating the price with clients, then drawing-up and securing BEO’s
● Oversee all aspects of delivery service platforms such as DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grub Hub.
● Manage relationships with our current PR company.
● Generate sales and maximizes revenue while developing and maintaining long term relationships with potential clients
● Achieves monthly sales goals
● Maintains Nacho Daddy Standards and exhibits gracious hospitality to all guests.
● Continuously update and provide information packets, letter writing, email and menu / events proposals to clients.
● Ensure all accounting paperwork is accurate, responsible for collecting all monies prior to the event, and handle the invoicing.
● Attend weekly meetings/conference calls with the operation management team to review upcoming events for the week and attend pre-shift with the staff on nights of events, if possible.
● Experience building group dining menus in collaboration with the Culinary and Beverage teams.
Position & Education Requirements:
● Excellent written and verbal communications skills
● Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish
● Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills with integrity
● Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products
● Knowledge of R365, Avero, Aloha, TripleSeat and Slack
● Understanding of how to position products against competitors
● Understanding and examining and analyzing a P&L’s
● Obtain and maintain all work cards required by the state.
● Basic MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
● Basic understanding of legal contract language
● Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
● Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Event/Sales/Hospitality
Physical Demand / Work Environment / Skill Requirements:
● Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day. Walking and standing are occasionally required. Length of
time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task
● Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and filing tasks
● Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space
● Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
● Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
● Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests
● Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
● 25% travel within the United States, as necessary.
● Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
● Flexibility to work extended hours, irregular shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
