Title: Senior Accountant
Nature of Role: Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Accountant is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of Nabsys' financial records. You will lead all core accounting operations in partnership with our external accounting firm, with a strong emphasis on fixed asset management, reconciliation discipline, and insightful financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Own the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, driving continuous reduction in close cycle time
- Manage and maintain the fixed asset ledger: additions, disposals, depreciation schedules, and periodic physical reconciliation
- Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and on schedule; investigate and resolve discrepancies before reporting deadlines
- Prepare and review journal entries, cash disbursements and receipts, AP/AR, and accrued expenses
- Generate timely financial reports and budget-vs-actual variance analyses for the Director of Finance and Accounting and leadership
- Maintain GAAP compliance and serve as primary liaison to external auditors
- Build and maintain financial models and ad hoc analyses that directly inform business decisions
- Support product costing and periodic inventory valuation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
- 8 years of hands-on accounting experience, including fixed assets, reconciliations, and close management
- Excel skills and strong command of QuickBooks
- Demonstrated experience building financial reports and metrics that drive decisions — not just producing outputs
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills; comfortable working with large datasets and identifying patterns
- Exposure to AI tools and a genuine interest in applying them to streamline accounting workflows and analysis
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of working independently in a fast-moving environment
