Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable and versatile Flex Pool Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality work, and is willing to assist wherever needed. As a Flex Pool Technician, you will perform routine pool maintenance, assist with repairs and equipment installations, cover service routes as needed, and support the team during busy periods. Every day may be different, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform weekly pool cleaning and maintenance, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing, and emptying baskets.
- Test and balance pool water chemistry using company standards.
- Add and safely handle pool chemicals.
- Inspect pools and equipment for proper operation and report issues.
- Assist with equipment repairs, installations, and troubleshooting.
- Fill in on service routes when regular technicians are unavailable.
- Maintain accurate service records using company software or service logs.
- Load, organize, and maintain company vehicle, tools, and supplies.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service while on-site.
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous pool service experience is preferred but not required; training is available for the right candidate.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of pool equipment, pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems.
- Experience diagnosing basic pool equipment issues.
- Repair experience preferred but not required.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is a plus but not required.
Schedule
- Full-time or part-time, based on business needs.
- Monday through Friday, with one Saturday per quarter.
Compensation & Benefits
- $8/hour $30/repair
- Daily route cleaning is paid per pool
