Role Description
Naab & Mohring has been serving WNY’s appliance repair needs since 1936. We have always been locally and family owned, and now proudly add ‘woman owned’ to that list. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Appliance Technician to join our team. As an Appliance Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and testing various household appliances, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves/ovens and other large appliances. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and excellent customer service skills. We cover a large geography, after you start in the office collecting parts and routes for the day, you will be on the road through the remainder of your shift.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in appliance repair, including knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
- Technical aptitude and curiosity/willingness to learn
- Familiarity with schematics and technical manuals for various appliance brands
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately
- Proficient in using tools and equipment for equipment repair and assembly
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to operate a truck for service calls
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients in a professional manner
- Applicants must pass a formal background check (criminal, DMV, drug testing)
- Ability to routinely lift 50lbs and occasionally maneuver up to 250 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic assessments to identify issues with appliances
- Repair and replace faulty components or parts
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot problems
- Install, assemble, and disassemble appliances as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and questions, handle questions and disputes professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services provided following company procedure.
- Cooperate with technical team and office staff and openly share information
- Safely drive a company vehicle to service appointments
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
