Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Duration: 17 Weeks Contract (Strong Possibility of Hire)
Schedule: 8a to 4:30 PM and one Saturday every Month
Pay Rate: $48 to $52/hr.
Job Description:
Job Summary:
- Will be supporting the Home Health department with the patient load in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
- Should anticipate a case load of approximately 6 patient visits per day with an average of 40-60 miles driven per day.
- Orientation will be 2-4 weeks depending on individual acuity and will take place at facility as well as in the field with a preceptor.
- Under general supervision of the nursing supervisor, utilizes the knowledge and application of nursing principles to provide direct patient care in the home.
- Assesses need for other allied health care services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition, speech pathology and social work, to ensure an integrated home health care delivery system.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of nine months of clinical nursing experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families and hospital personnel.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required in order to interact effectively with individuals from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Must be able to lift, carry, transport and move clients, if needed.
- Acute care experience, preferred.
Required:
- Successful completion of a registered nursing program accredited by the National League of Nursing.
- Current licensure by the State of Michigan as a registered nurse.
- BLS
- Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.
- Minimum of 1 year of Home Health experience
