The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for the smooth operation of the breakfast service, ensuring that guests enjoy a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming dining area. This includes preparing, setting up, replenishing food items, cleaning, and interacting with guests to ensure satisfaction during breakfast hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Breakfast Setup:
- Set up the breakfast area before guests arrive, ensuring food is properly displayed and all items are stocked.
- Ensure that food items (e.g., hot dishes, pastries, beverages, fruit, yogurt) are replenished as needed.
- Organize and arrange breakfast stations or buffet lines neatly, ensuring they are clean and visually appealing.
Guest Service:
- Greet guests in a friendly, courteous manner as they arrive for breakfast.
- Assist guests with any questions about the breakfast offerings and help accommodate special requests (e.g., dietary restrictions, beverage refills).
- Ensure that guests are satisfied with the food and service and handle any complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
Food Preparation & Maintenance:
- Prepare breakfast items such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, and pastries, following hotel recipes or instructions.
- Keep hot and cold food items at the appropriate temperatures throughout the breakfast service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the buffet or dining area by ensuring food trays are properly filled, and expired or unused items are cleared away.
Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Clean and sanitize tables, countertops, and all areas in the breakfast room regularly.
- Clean and maintain all equipment and utensils used for breakfast service.
- Ensure that the breakfast area meets health and safety standards, including proper food handling and cleanliness.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor food levels and notify the kitchen staff or supervisor when supplies are running low.
- Help with ordering breakfast supplies and ensuring inventory is stocked for the next day's service.
- Ensure that condiments, napkins, cups, and other necessities are always available and clean.
Communication and Coordination:
- Work closely with kitchen staff and other hotel departments to ensure smooth service and the timely availability of food items.
- Communicate any guest feedback, requests, or concerns to the management team.
- Ensure that any equipment malfunctions or facility issues are reported to the appropriate person.
Customer Experience:
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with guests.

End of Service:

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
