Position Summary
The Carpenter will perform a variety of rough and finish carpentry tasks on commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and works well independently and as part of a crew.
Responsibilities
- Perform rough and finish carpentry.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Install framing, blocking, doors, windows, trim, siding, and other structural components.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
- Work alongside project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to complete projects on schedule.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Complete punch-list items and quality control tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience (commercial construction preferred).
- Ability to read construction plans and drawings.
- Knowledge of framing, finish work, and general construction methods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial tenant improvements or ground-up construction.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience operating lifts and other construction equipment.
