About the Role
We're looking for an HR Payroll and Benefits Specialist to own the accurate, timely, and compliant administration of payroll and employee benefits for our US workforce. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision and consistency, while also bringing a continuous-improvement mindset to how payroll and benefits processes run day to day.
You'll be the go-to expert ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, benefits are administered smoothly, and payroll/benefits data stays accurate across systems — all while helping identify and implement better ways of working as our HR systems and processes mature.
What You'll Do
- Administer benefits (health insurance, 401(k)) — manage enrollments, changes, and terminations, and act as liaison between employees, providers, and internal stakeholders
- Support US onboarding/offboarding — documentation, work authorization, security checks, record creation, and HR system updates
- Coordinate payroll administration — process employee changes, maintain and validate payroll data, and support reconciliation; liaise with Finance and authorities on compliance
- Own US payroll end-to-end as subject-matter lead — drive process improvements, ensure federal/state/local compliance, and guide Finance/HR on US payroll matters
- Support employees and managers on payroll/benefits inquiries, resolving issues and coordinating with external providers
- Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors (payroll providers, benefits carriers) to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations
Essential Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll administration, benefits administration, or a combined HR generalist role with strong payroll/benefits exposure
- Proven experience managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.
- Solid understanding and experience of US payroll regulations, tax withholding, and benefits compliance requirements
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g, ADP, Gusto, Paycom, Workday or similar)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with both routine processing and process-improvement projects
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented approach to supporting employees
- A proactive mindset — someone who not only executes reliably but also looks for smarter, more efficient ways to get the work done.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business.
- Payroll certification (e.g., FPC or CPP) preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting multi-state payroll
- Familiarity with HRIS system implementations or upgrades
- Prior experience in a growing or scaling organization
Interested candidates should apply with an updated resume. We look forward to hearing from you!
