Preschool After School Lead Teacher
Do you want to work in fun, and engaging environment!? The Preschool Afterschool Program at the Malden ELC YMCA program is the place for you! Our program is dedicated to the preschoolers of Malden who attend ELC. This program is a space for children to express themselves through arts, music and more! This job gives you the space to create a fun curriculum based on your likes! This job will allow you to make a difference in the lives of children, by becoming a key role model in their daily lives.
Responsibilities:
- Excited and committed to making a difference in the lives of the children they work with, and serve as a positive role model
- Assist with toileting
- Implement positive behavior management strategies
- Provide a positive, safe, fun, and memorable quality experience to all children and families
- Develop and Implement age appropriate curriculum
- Must be a team player and be able to communicate effectively with coworkers
- Be able to create a fun, diverse, and engaging environment
- Completion of Early Education and Childcare Trainings
- First Aid and CPR certified preferred, but training available in the first 60 days
- All Candidates must meet the state's EEC qualifications including but not limited to Criminal Records Check, Fingerprinting, and verification of work experience and references
Qualifications:
The right candidate will have at least a Bachelors Degree in Education or Related Field with 1 - 2 years experience working with children in a supervised setting. Experience with children with disabilities or difficult behaviors is a plus
Days/Hours: Weekdays 2:15pm - 5:30pm, availability to sub on other days
Salary : $20 - $25
