The school follows an extended-day and extended-year academic model, with students attending school from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during a 200-day school year, providing additional instructional time to support student achievement. Position Summary Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable High School History Teacher who is committed to academic excellence and student success. Essential Responsibilities Deliver engaging, standards-aligned history instruction to students in Grades 9–12. Plan and implement lessons that promote critical thinking, historical analysis, and content mastery. Design and administer assessments to measure student learning and academic growth. Analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and improve outcomes. Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that supports student success. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, instructional strategies, and grade-level initiatives. Communicate regularly and effectively with students, families, and school staff. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide activities. Attend and actively participate in the annual three-week staff orientation and training program. Uphold the mission, values, and academic expectations of Mystic Valley Regional Charter School. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; appropriate teaching licensure or eligibility preferred. Strong knowledge of U.S. History, World History, and historical inquiry. Passion for teaching and helping students achieve academic excellence.
