Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks to execute marine construction tasks efficiently.
- Assist with site preparation, dredging, pile driving, and shoreline stabilization activities.
- Conduct utility locating and ensure proper installation of marine structures according to project specifications.
- Use power tools and hand tools for assembly, repairs, and site improvements while ensuring safety standards are met.
- Support highway maintenance activities related to marine infrastructure projects and perform heavy lifting as required.
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks within a construction or civil infrastructure environment. (Not required)
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and use of hand tools safely.
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to safety protocol adherence.
